RK Wants To Move Office Center To South Jakarta, Rano Karno: Don't Move

JAKARTA - The candidate for Deputy Governor Rano Karno will respond to the plan for the future governor of Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil, who wants to move the office center to the south of Jakarta.

The former governor of Banten assessed that the Jakarta regional spatial planning had been regulated by the government through existing regulations. So, the Governor of DKI must then follow the spatial layout.

"So you don't have to shift, the spatial planning is already there. That's all. So, the discipline is like that. Yes, 11 years I am in government, so it's enough to know," said Rano after visiting the Tomb of Prince Jayakarta, East Jakarta, Friday, September 20.

The DKI Provincial Government, Rano emphasized, has mapped government zoning, residential areas, to industry and offices.

However, the man who is familiarly called Bang Doel has no problem if RK and Suswono plan to shift the office area.

"Everyone must have a plan. We don't have to follow the plan, and we don't have to say the plan is not good. It's good, but maybe we don't do that," said Rano.

Previously, Ridwan Kamil (RK) admitted that he had a strategy to overcome Jakarta's congestion. One of them, RK and Suswono plan to shift the office area from center to south of Jakarta.

According to RK, moving office centers, for example, in the MH Thamrin area to the southern region, can also make the mobility of residents in buffer areas working in Jakarta more efficient.

This was revealed by RK when he visited the residence of former DKI Governor Sutiyoso at the Bang Yos Museum, Bekasi, West Java, Thursday, September 12.

"So increasing occupancy in the center, and increasing business centers outside the center. To the south we encourage more offices, in Simatupang, for example. Then to the west, north east, so that there is more efficient movement," explained RK.
