Expand Global Expansion, GWM Will Build Cars In Vietnam Next Year
JAKARTA - Great Wall Motor (GWM) is expanding its expansion by planning to assemble vehicles in Vietnam.
Citing from the CNevpost page, Friday, September 20, the Chinese brand revealed that it had signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Vietnam TAG Group, and the two sides would cooperate in local assembly in the country.
"Great Wall Motor aims to start producing vehicles in Vietnam by the end of 2025, relying on its 34-year experience in making cars, as well as localization resources from the TAG Group," the company said in a statement.
This step is a step to accelerate the globalization of Great Wall Motor, which already has three bases of vehicle production in Thailand and Brazil, and a number of other factories in parts of the world.

Great Wall Motor is one of the companies from China that is actively expanding into the international market, along with the increasingly fierce competition in the country.
Earlier, based on a report from Bloomberg, China itself encouraged automakers to export cars in the CKD model, meaning that key parts of vehicles would be produced domestically in China and then shipped to the destination market for final assembly.
Meanwhile, the brand is also present in Indonesia, even recently the local assembled Jolion HEV model was officially launched from the assembly line in the production line of the Inchcape Manufacturing Facility in Wanaherang, Bogor, West Java.
