Minister Of Industry Meets Ketum Kadin Baru Anindya Bakrie, Invites Collaboration To Build Indonesia's Manufacturing Industry

JAKARTA - Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita received the arrival of the New General Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) as a result of the September 14, 2024 Munaslub, Anindya Bakrie, at his office, on Thursday, September 19.

During the meeting, Agus congratulated Anindya who had been elected as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period 2024-2029.

When meeting with Anindya, Agus was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry and the Ministerial Special Staff.

Meanwhile, Anindya was present with the Deputy Chairperson for Industry Bobby Gafur Umar, Chairman of the Lampung Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Kadafi and Member of the Advisory Council Nita Yudi.

"To the new Chairman and Executive of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we congratulate the completion of the Munaslub which brought Pak Anindya Bakrie as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period 2024-2029," Agus said in a written statement, quoted Friday, September 20.

Agus has high hopes for a collaboration between the Ministry of Industry and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the leadership of Anindya.

Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Kadin in order to build Indonesia's manufacturing industry in the future.

The Minister of Industry also invited Anindya to collaborate in formulating roadmaps or roadmaps for the construction of the manufacturing industry in the next five years.

According to Agus, in the near future a meeting will be held between the Ministry of Industry and Kadin to discuss the issue of the formulation.

The roadmap formulation, said Agus, will also involve all industrial associations assisted by the Ministry of Industry.

The Golkar Party politician said that various collaborations between the Ministry of Industry and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue to be encouraged.

Cooperation continues to be encouraged to be more optimal and in line with the National Industrial Development Master Plan (RIPIN).

According to Agus, the benefits of cooperation between the two parties have been felt by industry players.

He said the cooperation includes the development of the downstream program for the mineral, natural gas, palm oil, cocoa and coconut industries.

Next, related to strengthening and protecting domestic industries such as the TKDN policy to deepen the domestic industrial structure, implementing Indonesia's national standards (SNI) and increasing the capacity of component small and medium industries (IKM) to enter the supply chain of the automotive industry.

Then, education and human resource training (HR) industry, development of green industry, empowerment of the halal industry and other forms of cooperation. Anindya also expressed his gratitude for Agus' willingness to accept the ranks of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry management.
