Jokowi Inaugurates Jogja-Solo Segment Kartasura-Klaten Toll Road Worth IDR 5.6 Trillion
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Yogyakarta YIA Kulonprogo Solo Toll Road Section 1 Kartasura (Km). The toll road, which has been built since 2021, costs up to IDR 5.6 trillion.
"Alhamdulillah, this afternoon the Solo 'Yogyakarta'Kulonprogo Section 1 Kartasura' Klaten toll road for 22.3 km has been completed and is ready to operate," Jokowi said in his remarks as seen on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Thursday, September 19.
Jokowi hopes that the existence of this toll road can increase connectivity and accessibility from Solo to Yogyakarta.
Then also make the travel time of people and goods more efficient.
"When I was in college from Jogja to Solo on a motorbike, I remember 50 minutes. Now, if you use a car, you can use a car for 3 hours, 3.5 hours, even up to 4 hours, 6 hours. This is indeed a fact in the field. Even though we need speed competitiveness, timeliness that cannot be offered again," he said.
In addition, Jokowi also hopes that the existence of this toll road will spur new economic growth around toll roads.
The Yogyakarta YIA Kulon Progo Solo Toll Road stretches along 96.57 km, crossing two provinces of Central Java along 35.64 km and the Yogyakarta Special Region Province along 60.93 km.

The toll road project built by PT Jasamarga Jogjasolo is divided into 3 sections, namely:
- Section 1 of the Kartosuro 'Purwomartani section along 42.38 km is divided into Package 1 Solo' Klaten (22.3 km) and Package 2 Klaten'Purwomartani (20.08 km).
- Section II of Purwomartani 'Gamping along 23.43 km is divided into 2 packages, namely Package 2.1 Purwomartani'Monjali (9.43 km) and Package 2.2 MongaliGamping (14 km).
- Section III Gamping 'Purworejo' along 30.77 km is divided into Package 3.1 Gamping 'Wates (17.45 km) and Package 3.2 Wates'Purworejo (13.32 km).
