Operation Brush Jaya Ahead Of The Implementation Of The Regional Election, Polda Metro Reveals Hundreds Of Street Crime Cases
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya and Polres ranks held Operation Brush Jaya which started from August to September 2024. As a result, 276 cases of various types of criminal acts were revealed.
"From the results during the operation, 276 cases were successfully revealed," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Wira Satya Triputra to waratwan, Thursday, September 19.
In the operation aimed at maintaining a conducive situation ahead of the Regional Head Election (Pilkada), at least 341 people were arrested and named as suspects.
They were involved in cases of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) to theft with violence (curas) or known as robbery or robbery.
"The target of Operation Brush Jaya is to create a conducive security and social security situation within the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya, especially creating a safe situation ahead of the implementation of the regional elections which will be held soon," he said.
"We need to convey the target of Operation Brush Jaya, which is all forms of criminal acts, be it stealing, stealing, and other crimes," continued Wira.

"There were 10 units of four-wheeled vehicles, then 95 units of two-wheeled vehicles, then 9 firearms, 29 sharp weapons, cash as much as Rp26,240,000, 127 units of mobile phones and 6 units of laptops," said Wira.
