The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Can Investigate Other Revenues That Kaesang Has Not Reported

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the acceptance of other facilities by the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep could be followed up. Moreover, if there are public complaints outside reports of the use of private jet facilities that have been submitted.

"If it turns out that the results of the investigation there are other allegations that are not included in the report concerned, of course this will continue (the investigation, ed)," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters quoted on Thursday, September 19.

"The KPK asks all parties to be patient. The Directorate of Gratification of the KPK is also still working on examining the report submitted by President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son, said Tessa.

"So it's still running. We'll just have to wait and see if there are other parties who will be clarified later. We'll just have to wait," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Meanwhile, the investigation into public reports by the Directorate of Service Revenue and Public Complaints (PLPM) of the KPK is also ongoing. However, the process is closed.

"Again, the process at PLPM is confidential and not open. Except for the one who exposed himself to convey what had been asked by the reviewer," said Tessa.

As previously reported, the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep said he had explained to the KPK about the use of the private jet facility he used when pledir to the United States with his wife, Erina Gudono. He claims that he took a plane belonging to his friend.

"I conveyed information about my trip to the US who was riding or accompanying a friend of mine," Kaesang told reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 17.

Meanwhile, the KPK has also received two complaints about the use of private jets by Kaesang. Those who complained were the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) and the University of Jakarta (UNJ) lecturer Ubaidillah Badrun.

In its report, the Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman conveyed that an MoU for cooperation between the Solo City Government and PT Shopee Indonesia International was related to the development of MSMEs. He suspects that the jet aircraft used by Kaesang and his wife, Erina Gudono, was facilitated by the company.

Meanwhile, a lecturer at the Jakarta State University (UNJ), Ubaidillah Badrun, reported Kaesang's luxurious lifestyle with his wife who used a private jet to the United States.
