Functional Feasibility Test Already, Jogja-Solo Toll Road Phase I Kartasura-Klaten Segment Safe To Use

JAKARTA - The Jogja-Solo Toll Road is part of a wider Trans-Java toll road network, aiming to improve connectivity between various major cities on the island of Java.

Jasamarga Jogja Solo said that part of the construction of the Jogja 'Solo Phase 1 Toll Road segment of the Kartasura' Klaten along 22.3 kilometers (km) had been completed.

The toll infrastructure is also declared safe for road users to use because it has gone through a series of test-worthy functions on 11-13 September 2024.

The Jogja 'Solo Toll Road has officially received a Functional Feasibility Certificate and Operational Worthiness Certificate which is proof that this toll road has met the safety, technical and operational standards set by the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR, Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and Korlantas Polri.

President Director of PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo (JMJ) Rudy Hardiansyah said that during the construction process, contractors and supervisory consultants had carried out a series of technical testing to ensure the quality of concrete and the fulfillment of planned design standards.

After three years of construction, the Jogja-Solo Toll Road Phase 1 of the Kartasura-Klaten Segment is now ready to operate with infrastructure conditions that meet safety standards.

"By considering natural changes due to temperature, weather and vehicle load, we still ensure that the quality of the concrete and toll road infrastructure is maintained. Periodic inspections will also continue to be carried out to ensure the safety and comfort of road users," he said in his official statement, quoted Thursday, September 19.

To maintain the safety and quality of service, PT JMJ conducts routine checks on the fulfillment of Minimum Service Standards (SPM). This inspection includes toll road conditions, average travel speed, accessibility, mobility, safety to rescue and rescue services along toll road corridors.

"This step is PT JMJ's commitment in providing the best service to Jogja-Solo Toll Road users," he said.
