OperationalASH Returns To Normal After Earthquake Shakes Bandung

JAKARTA - Operational Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train (KCJB) or normal airshed returned on Thursday after the earthquake rocked Bandung Regency, West Java, Wednesday, September 18.

The entire train line, according to the management of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), has been thoroughly inspected and declared safe to pass.

General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa in her statement, Thursday, September 19 in the morning, said that her party had carried out intensive examinations of all train lines, including bridges, tunnels, and lanes above the ground.

The inspection also uses inspection trains equipped with various sensors to detect potential damage to infrastructure.

"People don't need to worry about how to operate after the earthquake. KCIC has carried out detailed examinations with various high-tech equipment to ensure the safety ofASH travel," Eva said, as reported by Antara.

KCIC will operate 48 taxi trips every day with the first trip starting at 05.50 WIB from Tegalluar Station, Bandung Regency and at 06.40 WIB from Halim Station, East Jakarta.

For passengers who already have tickets and trips canceled due to the earthquake, he said, they can return their ticket duties 100 percent until Friday (20/9).

Especially for passengers who make purchases on thectic application or the KCIC website, cancellation can be done through theASH application. The cancellation money will be returned no later than 1 x 24 hours to the registered account.

A security check by KCIC on Wednesday (18/9) used a rail car (care train) which was run for inspection of thectionalsh train line.

A thorough examination of about 4 hours to ensure that no external factor can interfere with the railway line such as landslides on the right and left of the route, landslides, or other natural impacts.

According to him, the entire 144 km long route, most of which is through hilly areas, has been thoroughly inspected.

The railway line consists of a bridge structure with a total length of 82 km, 13 tunnels with a total length of 17 km, and a railway line on land along 42 km.

On the evening of Wednesday (18/9), the CIT inspection train was run to ensure theUSH route was safe to pass at maximum speed.

This examination using a CIT (comprehensive inspection train) is equipped with various equipment and sensors that can find out the condition of theASH infrastructure directly.
