Asked By The Head Of PPATK Many Reports Mandek At The KPK, Pahala: I Prioritize If Elected
JAKARTA - KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan promised to prioritize the analysis report (LHA) of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) if elected as a leader. He said this institution helped the anti-corruption commission deal with corruption cases.
This was conveyed by Pahala after being questioned by PPATK Chairman Ivan Yustiavanda in the selection of interviews with KPK leadership candidates (capim) for the period 2024-2029 which was held at the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) building, Wednesday, September 18. As a panelist, he initially said that PPATK often reported a number of data but was not worked on by the KPK.
"Earlier (the statement, ed) Mr. Pahala was interesting, 'it's good that everyone reports back to each other'. I note that, it's good but in fact, the PPATK report is ignored a lot," Ivan said, starting his statement as a panelist.
"You understand that there have been many cases that have been busy lately, once we checked the reports at the KPK. Then the PPDS that also happened at Undip, we have reported it in 2022, on other campuses, systemic. Waiting for suicide first, then we will react, right?" he continued.

Responding to this, Pahala then said that the KPK always relied on PPATK data. Many cases, such as the former Head of Yogyakarta Customs, Eko Darmanto, former official of the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) Rafael Alun Trisambodo to the former Head of Makassar Customs andhi Pramono, were handed over from LHA.
"And it is very detailed (PPATK report, ed) so it is easier to encourage it," said Pahala in response to Ivan's statement.
However, on the one hand, many of these reports were not followed up not only during the current leadership period of the KPK but also ago. "I promise, sir, if I am elected, I will prioritize the PPATK report because I said it is half finished (data, ed)," he concluded.
