Ma'ruf Amin Sorry For All The Shortages During The Vice President's Office

JAKARTA - Ma'ruf Amin said goodbye and apologized for all the shortcomings during his tenure as vice president (Vice President) in front of several ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet and regional heads.

This was conveyed by the Vice President when giving directions at the Coordination Meeting for the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty and Submission of Extreme Poverty Fiscal Incentive Funds in 2024 at the Setwapres Auditorium, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 18.

"Because of Pak Jokowi's period of government, I just have to count the days, not counting the months, but counting the days, so at the same time I apologize for saying goodbye until October 20, we are finished, it's over," said the Vice President as quoted by ANTARA.

The vice president also hopes that during the five years of President Joko Widodo's leadership with him it can end well.

"Hopefully finallyhusnul khatimah and apologize for all the shortcomings so far and thank you for the cooperation so that extreme poverty can be almost 0 percent," said the Vice President.

In his directive, the Vice President said that by 2024, the government had targeted the elimination of extreme poverty by close to 0 percent in Indonesia.

"We are optimistic that this target can be achieved considering that the extreme poverty rate, which was originally 1.12 percent in March last year, has fallen to 0.83 percent in March this year, approaching 0 percent," said the Vice President.

Nevertheless, he said that this achievement is certainly still faced by several challenges, such as target data accuracy, program convergence, program implementation quality, adjusting extreme poverty line standards to regulations for implementing extreme poverty alleviation which will end in 2024.

"We need to keep this downward trend continuing through the collaboration and work of all stakeholders including the performance and active role of all regional heads," said the Vice President.
