Sukoharjo Ministry Of Religion Asks For Clarification Of Islamic Boarding Schools In The Aftermath Of Santri Persecution To Death

SUKOHARJO - The Office of the Ministry of Religion of Sukoharjo Regency asked for clarification from the Islamic boarding school as a result of violence against students resulting in the death of the victim.

Head of the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Sukoharjo Regency, Muh Mu'alim, said that he had tried to ask for confirmation from the boarding school but until now there has been no response.

After the incident, there has been no communication between the Office of the Ministry of Religion and the cottage. In fact, he learned about the incident from the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Central Java Province, which had previously received information from the police.

"We are in the area, so we will ask for clarification. But at this time we are still in shock, so we can't ask for confirmation. We plan to go to the funeral home first, maybe after that we go to the hut," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 18.

According to him, every two months a meeting is held at the Islamic Boarding School Communication Forum (FKPP) which aims to provide motivation to the school.

"There were directions for the school to be healthy and safe. We have conveyed that, but in reality it is still there like that," he said.

Asked about the sanctions that will be imposed on the related Islamic boarding school, his party will still communicate with the leadership.

"It's just a case, so we studied it first. What kind of action we haven't been able to convey," he said.

The case of persecution that led to death occurred at the Tahfidz Az Zayadiyy Middle School, Sukoharjo Regency. The alleged perpetrator with the initials MG (15) is a senior student member of the victim Abdul Karim Putra Wibowo (13).

Currently, the alleged perpetrator or child who is in conflict with the law has been handled by the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) accompanied by the Correctional Center.
