PDIP Gives Signal To Join Prabowo's Government, Gerindra: Our Goals Are The Same
Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, responded to the statement by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah who signaled that the 'Bandeng Party' wanted to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. Muzani said Gerindra and PDIP had the same goal.
"Our communication with PDIP is good, good and smooth. There are approaches and ways that may be different, but our goals are often the same," said Muzani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 17.
"We didn't meet on the road but met at the intersection, often so. So actually the difference is just a way how a noble goal is achieved," he continued.
Muzani said the Gerindra Party would not refuse if PDIP entered the government. Because, he said, his party wanted the Prabowo-Gibran government to be more effective.
"And a more conducive situation, harmony, friendship can be created. Therefore, the strength of political parties as much as possible will be embraced and approached to create a more conducive and good political atmosphere," said Muzani.
"So that the government is calmer, the people can be calmer. So that there is better economic growth, there is a better movement of people, more optimistic and more confident in looking to the future," he concluded.
Previously, PDIP DPP chairman Said Abdullah gave a signal that his party could join the Prabowo Subianto government. According to Said, PDIP will support Prabowo Subianto's government if it has the same vision and mission.
"PDIP must see the fate of the nation in the next five years under the leadership of Pak Prabowo," Said said at the parliament complex, Friday, September 13.
Said said that if there was a common vision and mission, without joining the government, PDIP would support the sustainability of the government.
