Monas Area Will Be Reorganized, Erick Thohir Offers 20 BUMN Assets
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said his party with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) plans to reorganize the Monas Area, Central Jakarta.
For the restructuring, Erick Thohir offered 20 assets that could be optimized to make the Monas area a new city center.
For your information, several state-owned offices, including the Ministry of SOEs, will move to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan (Kaltim) later.
"We also hope that this Monas area will have 20 assets. There is a Pertamina building that is already empty, and there are also several buildings such as Telkomsel that are not optimal as well, we see that if it is in accordance with the target, many of these buildings including the Ministry of SOEs will move, sir," he said at the inauguration of IIFC, at Danareksa Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 17.
Previously, it was reported that the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, discussed plans to utilize building assets belonging to state-owned enterprises (BUMN) in the future with SOE Minister Erick Thohir.
This discussion took place when Heru visited the BUMN office to meet Erick Thohir on Thursday, August 1.

During the meeting, Erick and Heru discussed the plan to commercialize BUMN offices in Jakarta to be leased after the capital city officially moved to Nusantara, East Kalimantan.
"Our concept, for example, is that the state-owned office can become a commercial. The commercial is what we need to discuss in the future," said Heru at Pramuka Market, East Jakarta, Friday, August 2.
Heru said the assets planned for commercialization were in ring 1 or around the State Palace area and the National Monument.
"The Pertamina office in front of Istiqlal is what the concept is. Well, we are currently discussing this with the Minister of SOEs," said Heru.
