BUMDes Treasurer In Sumbawa Putri Munira Sentenced To 7 Years In Prison For KUR Corruption Cases For Farmers

The panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court, West Nusa Tenggara, sentenced the treasurer of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Sahabat Semamung, Moyo Hulu District, Sumbawa Regency, Putri Munira.

The verdict was handed down in the trial of the verdict of the defendant Putri Munira as the party responsible for the distribution of people's business credit funds (KUR) in 2021 for farmers who come from one of the conventional state-owned banks.

"The defendant Putri Munira has been sentenced to seven years in prison," said the panel of judges led by I Ketut Somanasa at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court, Antara, Tuesday, September 17. In addition to the sentence, the judge imposed a fine of Rp. 300 million, subsidiary to one month in prison. The judge also charged the defendant to pay compensation for state financial losses worth Rp. 3.1 billion, subsidiary to 3 years and 6 months in prison.

The judge in the decision also ordered that the confiscated evidence in the case be in the form of two land ownership certificates (SHM) with a total area of 120 are in Moyo Hulu District be confiscated for the state.

The judge conveyed the decision by stating that the defendant's actions as treasurer of Bumdes Sahabat Semamung were proven to have violated the public prosecutor's primary indictment.

The indictment relates to Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) letters a and b, paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001.

"So, what is different from the prosecutor's demands is only a matter of fines. If the prosecutor demands a fine of Rp. 200 million, a subsidiary of 1 year in prison for compensation," he said.

The distribution of KUR funds for farmers in Moyo Hulu District entered the court table starting with the findings of the bank collecting credit installment payments.

It was revealed that the distribution of KUR funds was not in accordance with procedures. Funds were disbursed through the BUMDes Sahabat Semamung. The amount disbursed was Rp. 3.1 billion for 59 farmers in three villages in the Moyo Hulu District.

The application for KUR funds through BUMDes was revealed in the trial as an initiation of the treasurer who applied for a loan of IDR 50 million per farmer.

From the facts of the trial, it was revealed that every farmer did not receive a loan of Rp. 50 million according to the initial proposal. Instead, the farmers only received Rp. 5 million per person, resulting in state financial losses of Rp. 3.1 billion.
