Import Value In August 2024 Capai 20.67 Billion US Dollars
JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that Indonesia's import value in August 2024 reached 20.67 billion US dollars, or a decrease of 4.93 percent compared to the previous month which reached 21.74 billion US dollars.
Deputy for Distribution and Services of BPS Pudji Ismartini said the value of oil and gas imports in August 2024 was worth 2.65 billion US dollars, or a decrease of 25.56 percent compared to the previous month of 3.56 billion US dollars.
Meanwhile, the value of non-oil and gas imports in August 2024 was worth 18.02 billion US dollars, or a decrease of 0.89 percent compared to the previous month of 18.18 billion US dollars.
"The decrease in the value of imports on a monthly basis was due to the first value of oil and gas imports of 4.18 percent, while the decline in the value of non-oil and gas imports was 0.75 percent," he said at a press conference, Tuesday, September 17.

Meanwhile, on an annual basis, the import value in August 2024, which amounted to 20.67 billion US dollars, rose 9.46 percent compared to the same period last year which amounted to 18.88 billion US dollars.
Amalia said that the annual decline in oil and gas imports in August 2024 was due to a decrease in the average aggregate price. Meanwhile, the non-oil and gas value rose 11.09 percent with the highest increase in commodities being metal ore, crust and ash increased by 126.92 percent.
