JAKARTA - The Papua High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has arrested 2 suspected corruption suspects, namely LA, the former Head of Bulog Nabire Warehouse and the former Head of the Biak Post Office.
The head of the Papua Attorney General, Nikolaus Kondomo, said that the detention of the 2 former officials in the BUMN environment was carried out after investigators felt that there was sufficient evidence. LA is suspected of having a role in manipulating GD1M documents or documents on the entry of goods (rice) into Bulog's warehouse in Nabire.
Nikolaus Kondomo said that the rice had not yet entered the warehouse but the money had been transferred to the account of the work procurement partner, namely PBK Tani Jaya and used jointly for personal gain.
As a result of the action by the suspect, the state is estimated to have suffered losses of more than Rp. 10 billion. The total loss of rice is estimated at 1,028,690 kg.
Meanwhile, the suspect FWB abused his authority by issuing cash that was not in accordance with its allocation. This action was carried out from April to September 2020. Investigate, this money worth more than IDR 3 billion was used for personal gain, namely playing Binomo trading.
"The two suspects are currently entrusted to Abepura prison and the articles that are used on the two suspects are articles 2 and 3 of the Corruption Act," he said.
