US Envoy Arrives In Israel To Prevent Major War With Hezbollah
JERUSSALEM - United States special envoy Amos Hochstein arrived in Israel on Monday, September 16, in an effort to prevent a full-scale war between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah group.
Reporting from Anodalu, Hochstein is scheduled to meet with a number of top Israeli officials, including President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, according to Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

The discussion of the US envoy will focus on efforts to achieve political solutions to avoid the outbreak of a massive war with Hezbollah, the daily said.
Tensions escalated along the Israel-Lebanon border amid a shootout between Hezbollah and Israeli forces.
Israel, meanwhile, continues to launch attacks on Gaza, killing more than 41,200 people since October last year -- following a cross-border attack by Palestinian struggle group Hamas.
