Huawei Ready To Increase Access To Electric Vehicle Charging In Indonesia
JAKARTA - The global ICT provider company, Huawei, shows its commitment to increasing its contribution to accelerating transportation electrification in Indonesia.
With its technological advantages, Huawei will build a high-quality electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EV) that is easily accessible to the entire community.
Although the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia is still in its early stages, however, the CEO of Digital Power, PT. Huawei Tech Investment Jin Song sees the prospects of this electric vehicle as very promising in the future.
"The prospects are very promising in the next decade with an increase in the number of electric vehicles by at least 10 times globally, followed by an 8-fold increase in demand for charging," said Song in a written statement.
Therefore, according to him, Indonesia needs to immediately start developing a massively high-quality charging network to accelerate the penetration of new electric vehicles (NEVs) and strengthen local industries and ecosystems.
