Sony Launches System Update For PlayStation 5
JAKARTA PlayStation 5 (PS5) got a lot of new features after Sony rolled out a system update on August 12. This update includes a new personalization space and a party link sharing feature.
Sony's new first feature release is Welcome Hub, the latest version of the Explore tab. Welcome Hub is a special space on the home screen that can be set or personalized. In this space, users can add customized widgets and backgrounds.
"Welcome hub will replace the Explore tab," Sony said in a release. "This feature will be rolled out globally over the next few weeks, starting today for certain players in the US."
Next, there is the Party Share feature for sharing party voice chats in messaging and social media applications. Just like the Welcome Hub, this feature will still be in preparation and will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks.
By using the Party Share, friends who are chatting in the messaging app can immediately join the party voice chat. This can be done even though the friends who join have not been added to the list of friends on the PlayStation Network.

If you want to create a party link, PlayStation 5 users only need to open a voice chat card at the device Control Center, then select Invite Players and click Share Party Links. After that, the QR code will appear to be shared with friends.
"In the coming weeks, we will also be releasing an update to the PlayStation App that will allow you to create sharing party links from your mobile device," Sony said.
In addition to these two features, there are several new features that are already available on PlayStation 5, namely personalized 3D audio profiles, adaptive charging for controllers, and Remote Play settings per user.
