Ridwan Kamil Plans To Expand TransJakarta To Bogor, Tangerang And Bekasi Routes

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Ridwan Kamil's Candidate plans to expand the TransJakarta route to agglomeration areas such as Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi.

He made this statement after meeting with former Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso at his residence, Thursday, September 12.

"Well, one thing, of course, what we conclude is good things in Pak Sutiyoso's congregation, especially regarding bus-based transportation, yes, or Busway (TransJakarta)," said Ridwan Kamil.

According to him, the expansion of the bus-based general transportation route needs to be done as a form of service to the community.

"Of course in our era later because Jakarta has an obligation to agglomerate, ideally the busway does not stop at the administrative political limit but is forwarded to the agglomeration, Bekasi, Bogor, Tangerang," he said.

This is because, it is undeniable, the millions of people living in the agglomeration area flocked to Jakarta in the morning to work.

Even, go home at night. This is one of the factors causing traffic jams in Jakarta.

"So that a total of millions of people who work day-to-day in Jakarta, at night we can also serve them with the concept that was initiated in January 2002. The busway was launched by Pak Sutiyoso," said Ridwan Kamil.
