Indodax Platform Hacked Losses Allegedly Reaching IDR 335 Billion
JAKARTA - A crypto exchange platform from Indonesia, Indodax, is suspected of having been hacked. This news has also been confirmed by Indodax that its security team has succeeded in finding potential security indications on its platform.
Based on information from the founder of the Indonesian Ethical Hacker Teguh Aprianto, this hack has caused transaction losses of more than US$21.8 million or around Rp335 billion.
"CTO Indodax confirms that there was a security incident and until now Indodax's status is still maintenance," Teguh wrote in his post.
Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan has not commented when contacted by VOI. However, the company said in a statement that it is currently carrying out thorough maintenance to ensure the entire system operates properly.

"During this maintenance process, the interim INDODAX website and app platform is inaccessible," the company said in a statement on Wednesday, September 11.
Indodax also ensures that the user balance remains 100 percent safe, both crypto and Rupiah.
