Paris 2024 Paralympic Contingent Arrives In Indonesia
JAKARTA Paris 2024 Paralympic Contingan returned to Indonesia via Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Jakarta, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, afternoon WIB.
The group consisting of athletes, coaches, and the official team landed at around 16.58 WIB. They were greeted by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo and the Chief de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian Contingent Reda Manthovanani in the VIP Room of Terminal 3.
"Welcome to the 2024 Paris Paralympic Indonesian Contingent who was accompanied directly by the General Chairperson of NOC Senny Marbun. Welcome back to the country," said the Menpora in his remarks.
The Indonesian contingent managed to bring home a total of 14 medals from France this year. The medals consisted of one gold medal, eight silver medals, and five bronze medals.
This number made Indonesia successfully pass the target and rank 50th in the final standings of the medal. When leaving there, Indonesia targeted one gold medal, two silver medals, and three bronze medals.

The only gold medal won by Indonesia this year was donated by the badminton mixed doubles pair, Hikmat Ramdani/Leani Ratri Oktila.
"This is the most medal and also the most contingent. You really prove that you can make history. I thank you very much. All of you are inspirations," said Dito.
In addition to passing the target, Indonesia also made notes with the most medals in the history of participation in the Paralympics.
At the 2024 Paralympics, the overall position was secured by China, which collected 220 medals, in detail 94 gold medals, 75 silver medals, and 50 bronze medals.
In a row, after that, completing the top three of the final standings were the United Kingdom and the United States. Britain received 124 medals (49 gold, 44 silver, and 31 bronze), while the United States had 105 medals (36 gold, 42 silver, and 27 bronze).
