The Latest Mitsubishi ASX Will Be Based On Xforce For 2027, Here's The Image

JAKARTA - Mitsubishi is rumored to be updating its compact-sized SUV model, ASX in the next three years and is expected to use the base of Xforce released in 2023.

Launching Drive, Saturday, September 7, cars that are also badged "Outlander Sport" and RVR in some markets will get the latest generation in 2027 based on Xforce or as ASX enters its 17th year old age.

The choice of Xforce as the base of ASX is considered suitable because it has a dimension almost similar to 4,390 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and a height of 1,660 mm.

Mitsubishi Xforce offers various advantage features, one of which has a number of driving modes such as Normal, Gravel, Wet, and Mud.

These four modes allow XForce to address various road conditions with Active Yaw Control (AYC) controls, which dynamically regulate left and right wheels, traction, tire movements, engines, and power steering.

This Japanese manufacturer also collaborates with Yamaha to present the audio system "Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium", providing quality entertainment for car users.

Powered by a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16 machine with CVT transmission connected to the front wheel (FWD), Mitsubishi XForce is capable of generating 104 dk of power and torques reaching 141 Nm.

Back to ASX, its first generation has been on sale since 2010 and is still on sale in several areas to date. This car gets three facelifts by offering a variety of machines, ranging from 1.6 liters, 1.8 liters, to 2.0 liters.

Indeed, the ASX model has gained a second generation but is devoted to the European market. The blue continent version of ASX uses a base from Renault Captur which was launched in 2022.

Then, this car got a facelift in April this year with an exterior that was redesigned and offered hybrid technology.

The SUV is offered with the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) variant which combines 1.6 liter engines with two electric motors, multi-mode automatic transmission, and 1.2 kWh batteries.

This car is also presented in the mild-hybrid version combining a 1.3 liter turbo direct injection engine with a manual transmission of six accelerations or seven accelerations of DCT. In addition, this Japanese manufacturer also offers a pure gasoline version with a 1.0 liter turbo machine along with manual transmission.
