The Arrival Of Pope Francis For The Tolerance And Harmony Of Religions

JAKARTA - The arrival of Pope Francis to Indonesia was not only greeted with joy by Catholics in the country, but also by other religious communities.

A protestant from the GKI Menteng Haposan Hutagalung church imitated the figure of Pope Francis who was simple because he came to Indonesia using a commercial plane and did not use a private plane.

"We need to emulate many things. Starting from his arrival at the airport, his body movement reflects humility," said Haposan Hutagalung.

"He is the leader of the world's Catholic community, as well as the head of the privatization state. So rich in the country. But he (the Pope) and his entourage chose ordinary commercial aircraft. We can imitate the leadership of a country like that because it remains humble," he continued.

Haposan hopes that the arrival of whales this time can build peace between religious believers.

Because the Pope, even though it is the supreme leader of the Catholics, he does not hesitate to deal with people of different religions for the sake of peace.

The Pope visited four countries on a 12-day journey in Asia-Oceania and Indonesia is one of the options. The supreme leader of Catholics is in Indonesia for 4 days.

The Pope will pass various series of activities, starting from meeting President Jokowi, visiting the Cathedral Church and the Jakarta Istiqlal Mosque, to leading mass at the GBK Stadium.
