West Java (Jabar) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) investigators examined staff and former Regional Secretary of Karawang Regency in uncovering a case of alleged corruption of ruislag (exchange) land belonging to the Karawang Regency Government with PT Jakarta Intiland.Head of West Java High Prosecutor's Office, Nur Sricahyawijaya, said the ruislag case that has been handled since the last few months is still being processed. "Still gathering evidence and evidence around the case," he explained when contacted from Karawang, Antara, Thursday, September 5.The West Java Prosecutor's Office investigator team has examined or questioned dozens of people. Among the parties being questioned were also a number of state civil servants. Including the former Karawang Regional Secretary, Acep Jamhuri.Nur Sricahyawijaya said that on August 19, 2024, his party had sent a letter to the summons to Acep Jamhuri for questioning regarding the ruislag case.In the letter, Acep was asked to come to the West Java Prosecutor's Office on Thursday, August 22 for questioning as a witness.However, due to certain matters, the person concerned was not present. Furthermore, the West Java Prosecutor's Office will reschedule.Meanwhile, in uncovering cases of alleged corruption in the implementation of ruislag goods belonging to the Karawang Regency Government in the form of land covering an area of 4,935 m2 located on Jalan Tuparev Karawang with land of PT Jakarta Intiland covering an area of 59,087m2, in mid-May 2024 the West Java Prosecutor's Investigation Team searched the pavilion and room of the Karawang Regional Secretary Acep Jamhuri.The search was also carried out at the Office of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Karawang, because Acep is also the former head of the service, as well as at the Office of the Karawang Regional Finance and Asset Management Agency.
During the search, the West Java High Prosecutor's Investigation Team confiscated a number of documents obtained from a number of search points.
