PLTS Ground Mounted Officially Operates, Increases Indonesia's Green Electricity Supply
JAKARTA - The Ground-Mounted Solar Power Plant Project (PLTS) with the largest capacity of 100 MWp in Indonesia officially operates. This project reinforces Indonesia's commitment to achieving the target of a new and renewable energy mix (EBT) of 23 percent by 2025.
This project was developed by PT Aruna Hijau Power (PT AHP) which was founded on a collaboration between PT Aruna Cahaya Pratama (Aruna PV) and a subsidiary of PT PLN (Persero), PT PLN Batam.
PT Aruna Hijau Power (PT AHP) inaugurated the Ground-Mounted Solar Power Plant Project (PLTS) with the largest capacity of 100 MWp in Indonesia. PT AHP was founded on a collaboration between PT Aruna Cahaya Pratama (Aruna PV) and PT PLN Batam, a subsidiary of PT PLN Persero.
The inauguration was held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, located in the Bukit Indah City Industrial Estate (KBI) of the MN Purwakarta Sector, West Java.
The construction of the 100 MWp Ground-Mounted PLTS is one of the strategic steps to encourage wider use of clean energy, reduce carbon emissions and increase national energy security.
With this large capacity, PLTS Ground-Mounted 100 MWp in the KBI Industrial Estate will not only meet the energy needs of industrial estates and their surroundings, but also become a sustainable model for EBT projects across the country.
President Director of PT AHP Adi Dhanmanto stated proudly that currently PLTS 100 MWp has been operating commercially and has begun to make a real contribution in supporting the electricity system in the KBI Industrial Estate.
"This is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to provide cleaner and more sustainable energy for the future," he told reporters in Bandung, West Java, Thursday, September 5.
On the same occasion, Executive Director of the Salim Group Axton Salim said that this project illustrates the advancement of technology, innovation and the spirit of strong collaboration between various governments, the private sector, research institutions and the public.
All have united in realizing a common vision for clean energy that is environmentally friendly. He emphasized that the collaboration that has been established, especially between PLN and Aruna, must be maintained and improved.

The construction of the 100 MWp Ground-Mounted PLTS is the leading innovation in the Salim Group collaboration between PT Besland Pertiwi, Aruna PV and PT TJS. PT Besland Pertiwi as the owner of the KBI Industrial City area provides 5 locations with a total area of more than 80 hectares (ha).
Meanwhile, PT AHP is the developer of PLTS under the parent company of Aruna PV. On the other hand, PT TJS as the regional manager sees the need for clean energy (electric) from tenants, especially multinational companies that have the need to use EBT in carrying out company operations.
Therefore, PT TJS purchased the electricity production of PLTS. The hope is that this collaboration can increase the interest of PT TJS tenant candidates, especially multinational companies related to the clean energy mix.
"The 100 MWp PLTS operation is a concrete step in supporting the movement towards net zero emissions by 2060. This is not just words, but concrete actions that show our commitment to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future," he added.
