Latest Research: Trust In Aliens Is A Social Problem
JAKARTA Trust in aliens continues to increase in various countries, both in the US and outside the US. Not a few people believe that this creature is real and has visited Earth.
According to Scottish Researcher and Filsuf Tony Milligan in a recently released paper, this belief is a social problem. The reason is, a fifth of Britons believe that Earth has been visited by aliens and seven percent of the public believe they have seen UFOs.
Higher percentages were discovered in the US. In 2022, about 34 percent of people believe in UFO sightings so that aliens are believed to be real. Meanwhile, 24 percent of people admit that they have seen UFO sightings.
For Tony, this belief is paradoxical because humans have no real evidence of alien existence. In fact, the Pentagon or headquarters of the US Department of Defense is still trying to prove the existence of an Unknown Anomaly Phenomenon (UAP), the latest designation for UFOs.

Trust in aliens is also considered to undermine people's trust in government agencies. Based on a Badminton poll in 2019, about 68 percent of US citizens believe the government knows more about UFO or alien presence.
Many believe that the military or private secret groups have deliberately hidden the presence of aliens. With this very high belief, conspiracy theories are growing to undermine public confidence in science.
From the results of this study, Tony concluded that aliens should remain in fictional boxes like Marvel's film to prove real. Unfortunately, what is happening now is the opposite. Therefore, Tony believes that trust in aliens has real and destructive consequences.
