Twice Hit And Run, SUV Driver Beaten Mass At HPK
JAKARTA - The driver and passenger of the SUV type are crowded with mobs on Jalan Commodore Halim Perdanakusuma (HPK), Kebon Pala, Makasar District, East Jakarta.
They were targeted by residents because they were suspected of carrying out a hit-and-run in the UKI Cawang area, Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, Kramat Jati area, East Jakarta.
"The car was damaged by residents, chased by UKI. Many were chasing it. The information was that the motorbike was being chased. It had hit the motorbike twice," said Kholis, a resident to reporters, Monday, September 2.
Another driver who saw firsthand the hit-and-run incident was furious and joined the pursuit of the car driven by the perpetrator. The driver of this car can only be stopped by residents after the car hit several motorbikes.
"Arrested when there was a traffic jam, the car stopped. In the car there were 3 people, the girl was one person," he said.
This accident was also caught on amateur cameras by residents. From the amateur video footage, it appears that a number of residents and motorcyclists are raging at an SUV driver on Jalan Commodore Halim Perdanakusuma.

"They were all in the car, the car was damaged by the masses. The windshield and back were broken. They were secured by the TNI," he said.
Masses that looked emotional while asking the car driver to leave, but allegedly for fear of being targeted by Amuk, the driver and his passengers remained in the vehicle.
The crowd also hit the windshield and back of the car until it cracked. Luckily, the masses were suppressed after the driver and his vehicle were secured by members of the TNI.
For the purposes of the investigation, the case is handled by the East Jakarta Regional Unit Laka Unit.
