Huawei And PT PLN Complete Ground-Mounted PLTS To Achieve Clean Zero Emissions
JAKARTA Huawei together with PT PLN, through PLN Batam, made a new breakthrough in supporting an environmentally friendly energy transition in Indonesia. This transition effort was only inaugurated on Monday, September 2.
In addition to collaborating with Huawei, PT PLN is also collaborating with PT Aruna Cahaya Pratama (Aruna PV) and China Power Hubei. Through this collaboration, PT PLN managed to install the largest ground-mounted Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in Indonesia.
Huawei explained that this ground-mounted PLTS has a capacity of 100 Megawatt peak (MWp) and was built in the Bukit Indah Industrial Estate in Purwakarta. The construction of this PLTS is part of the net zero emission target.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said that PT PLN continues to be committed to presenting environmentally friendly power plants. Through this commitment, the government wants to achieve net zero emissions by 2060.
PLN not only acts as a reliable electricity provider, but is also committed to realizing environmentally friendly electricity for the industry. This is proof of PLN's strong commitment as a pioneer in the use of renewable and sustainable energy," said Darmawan in a press release received by VOI.
Darmawan added that the collaboration with this large company made the project run very quickly. The ground-mounted PLTS in West Java was successfully completed within seven months, the fastest builder among other PLTS projects.
"We appreciate the solid collaboration with private partners, including Aruna PV, China Power Hubei, and Huawei, in completing this project. This project can be completed in just seven months," Darmawan explained.

Meanwhile, Huawei Indonesia's Head of Digital Power Jin Song said that Huawei was selected as a partner because of its reliability. Later, the company will add smart management and monitoring solutions through SmartLogger.
With this solution, the system's performance can be monitored in real-time through applications or web platforms. This provides better transparency and control over PLTS operations and ensures that each component works optimally.
"The involvement in the 100 MW Purwakarta PLTS project is Huawei's real contribution in implementing the concept of green industrial areas. Huawei's inverter technology has proven its reliability in converting electricity more efficiently," said Jin Song.
