37 Goats In Kembangan, West Jakarta, Died Stimulated Due To Residents Burning Garbage

JAKARTA As a result of burning garbage on empty land, Jalan Sawah Balong, Srengseng, Kembangan, West Jakarta, dozens of goats died on fire, Monday, September 2. The fire, which was initially small, grew and then spread to the goat pen.

Head of the Operations Section of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., Syarifudin, said that approximately 37 goats were burned to death in the incident.

Syarifudin suspected that the fire occurred due to residents who burned garbage. According to him, due to the weather that recently felt hot, and the wind blew, causing a fire to a nearby object, namely a goat pen.

"It is suspected that someone burned garbage and then spread to the goat pen," said Syarif, Monday, September 2.

Syarif explained that Gulkarmat received information about the fire at 09.40 WIB. His party immediately came to the location to extinguish the fire.

"Residents reported here that there was a fire on Jalan Sawah Balong and then we followed up," said Syarif.

The blackout operation began at 09.55 WIB until it was completed at 10.35 WIB, with 25 personnel and five fire engines to overcome the fire.
