JAKARTA - YouTuber Jake Paul will continue his professional boxing career by facing UFC star Ben Askren on April 17.

Many had expected Askren to win, including UFC president Dana White, even though Paul had stunned his partner Mike Perry.

Perry wrote on Twitter: “Dana White, I just did some workouts with Jake Paul and it doesn't look good on Ben Askren…. #IronSharpensIron”.

White previously stated that he would bet $ 1 million (IDR 14.3 billion) on Askren's win. Meanwhile, Paul wants to double the number.

"Funds, let's double the stakes: $ 2 million (IDR 28, 6 billion)", he said.

"Let's transfer the money as collateral. The total is $ 4 million (IDR 57.3 billion). The winner takes everything".

Paul also challenged White to fight head-on in the future. Paul is upset because White is often taken lightly because of his status as a YouTuber

Paul has previously spoken of his confidence to win, saying: “I say it in every interview".

“I predict when I will bring down these guys, I predict what the media will say, and all of you will only see one by one: Ben Askren is eliminated, (Dillon) Danis is eliminated, (Nate) Diaz is eliminated.

"It will happen and people will replay this interview and be like 'wow, this kid really just predicted all this".
