Khofifah Prays For Ulama And Thousands Of Congregants Continue To Lead East Java

JAKARTA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa's candidate will be prayed for by ulama and thousands of pilgrims who are present at the Maulid Wat Council Ta'lim Riyadhul Jannah Sidoarjo to continue to lead East Java.

The caretaker of the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School Kediri Kiai Kafabihi Mahrus when delivering his tausiah specifically expressed his hope and prayed for Khofifah to continue her leadership as Governor of East Java.

"Mrs. Khofifah conveyed that the ulama and guardians in Egypt said that the light of the divine state was emitting from East Java. So I am husnudzhon because the governor is Mrs. Khofifah Indar Parawansa. Hopefully it will continue (leading East Java)," said Kiai Kafabihi Mahrus as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, September 1.

He said, 'early prayer is grandihim, because humans are good depending on their leader, the good country depends on its leader.

"Leaders are aamum imams. The kindness of leaders is common. If the leader is good, then this country will be good. That is the need for us to be led by good people," he said.

On that occasion, Khofifah conveyed a story about ulama and walayullah from Egypt, namely Sheikh Prof. Dr. Syech Muhammad Abdus Samad Mehanna who said that East Java was called by Sheikh Jalaluddin Rumi as a light and barokah area.

"I want to convey a piece of the story from Sheikh Mehanna, who is known to one of the seven scholars in Egypt as the mayor. When he came to East Java, I asked permission to meet him," said Khofifah who is also the Governor of East Java for the 2019-2024 period.

During the meeting, the great Egyptian sufi figure who was Professor of Law and Legislation in Egypt explained that before Khofifah came, there was one of her students who had difficulty contacting her.

Even though the student who came from the United States actually wanted to find and wanted to go to Sheikh Muhanna in Cairo, Egypt.

"Then Sheikh Mehanna told me that his student was on his way to Egypt and stopped at the tomb of Sheikh Jalaluddin Rumi in Turkey. In the evening the student met Sheikh Rumi and was asked who were you looking for? The student answered that I was looking for my teacher Syekh Mehanna, but I did not contact him either. Then Sheikh Rumi replied that Sheikh Mehanna was in Indonesia, precisely in the eastern part. The area is full of light and full of blessings," said Khofifah who is also the General Chairperson of PP Muslimat NU.

After that night, the student then continued his journey to Egypt and met Sheikh Mehanna's family. He then asked again about the whereabouts of the teacher. And it was answered that currently Sheikh Muhanna was in Indonesia, precisely in East Java.

"How can Syekh Rumi say that eastern Indonesia is precisely East Java, the area is full of light and full of blessings. I think this is because in East Java there are so many shalawat assemblies, so many assemblies invite dhikr and pray together," said Khofifah.

"So God willing, we will all be accepted by Allah SWT. And God willing, we will pray and blaspheme all along with the Decree of the Prophet and the Blessings of Allah SWT," said Khofifah.

What Sheikh Rumi said through one of Sheikh Mehanna's students, Khofifah said, was also in line with the testimonies of many people and the world's habaib.

Many of them came to Indonesia after saying how easy it is to find heaven here. Because they see that the assembly of shalawat and dhikr are often held, which are always attended by thousands of worshipers and the community.

"We are grateful that through a panel like this, God will take care of us to continue to remember and pray, Allah will give us space to feel the joy of dhikr dhit prayer as well as to listen to the tausiyah of our teacher," he said.

He hopes that along with the many munajat, Allah will send blessings to Sidoarjo, blessings for East Java and blessings for Indonesia.
