JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to accelerate the completion of basic infrastructure projects in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan. Currently, the progress of phase 1 IKN development has reached 92 percent.
As for the batch 2 project at IKN, now its progress has reached 57 percent.
"It's been good (the progress), more than 92 percent have batch 1. The batch 2 is 57 percent and batch 3 is almost 20 percent," said Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force of the Ministry of PUPR Danis H Sumadilaga at the PUPR Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday night, August 30.
Danis said that the priority of IKN development after the commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was to complete the ongoing development, one of which was the ASN flats (Rusun). Currently, as many as 12 ASN towers have been completed and are ready to be occupied.
"This will be around September-October (2024) there are 21 towers. In fact, November-December there are around 47 towers," he said.
As for supporting facilities, said Danis, this ASN Flat is also quite complete. Currently, there are minimarkets, cafes to coin laundry. In fact, in the near future there will also be clinics. Later, facilities such as PAUD and gym will also follow.
Then for the office of the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) the average progress has reached 80 percent, except for the progress of the Ministry of Coordinating Ministry 2 which is only 50 percent. Part of the tower floor of the Coordinating Ministry can also function for offices.
"The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Muhadjir Effendy) has come to a meeting there. Then from every ministry now they have arrived, they have surveyed. For example, yesterday the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture was at the Coordinating Ministry 4. The Coordinating Ministry for 4 has seen the building as if it wanted to be a sharing office," said Danis.
As for IKN airport, Danis said, currently the runway length has reached 1,375 meters (m). If there are no weather constraints, the target of 2,200 m can be completed on September 2, 2024.

"It has reached 1,375 m. Right, we have a target of 2,200 (m). Well, hopefully in the first week of September it can be finished," he said.
In addition, the government is also preparing for the development of basic infrastructure in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN 1B and 1C. This is like road access to multi-utility or multi-utility tunnel (MUT) tunnels. MUT is a tunnel that can be used to load various types of cables and waterways.
