Prices Of Red Onion Rise, Bulk Cooking Oil Even Down

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that the price of a number of food commodities fluctuated, shallots rose to Rp25,950 per kilogram (kg), while bulk cooking oil fell to Rp15,940 per kg, as of Friday morning, August 30, 2024.

Quoting Antara, data from the Badanas Price Panel at 07.40 WIB showed that food prices at the retail traders level nationally fluctuated, such as premium rice, had decreased slightly by 0.06 percent or Rp10 to Rp15,530 per kg.

Then, the price of medium rice rose slightly by 0.88 percent or Rp120 to Rp13,360 per kg; as well as rice supply stability and food prices (SPHP) Bulog slightly increased by 0.71 percent or Rp90 to Rp12,680 per kg.

Likewise, the price of shallot commodities also rose to 3.80 percent or Rp950 to Rp25,950 per kg; then garlic also rose to 2.65 percent or Rp1,050 to Rp40,660 per kg.

Likewise, the price of curly red chili commodities also rose slightly by 0.58 percent or Rp240 to Rp41,440 per kg; then red cayenne pepper also rose 2.29 percent or Rp1,120 to Rp49,960 per kg.

In contrast to the price of pure beef, it fell 1.72 percent or Rp2,320 to Rp132,610 per kg; while broiler meat rose 1.69 percent or Rp590 to Rp35,470 per kg; as well as broiler eggs also rose 3.94 percent or Rp1,120 to Rp29,570 per kg.

Next, the price of dried soybeans (imports) was also observed to increase by 2.85 percent or Rp340 to Rp12,260 per kg; then consumption sugar also rose 2.07 percent or Rp370 to Rp18,270 per kg.

Furthermore, simple packaged cooking oil was observed to have increased by 0.44 percent or Rp80 to Rp18,150 per kg; while bulk cooking oil was observed to have decreased by 1.18 percent or Rp190 to Rp15,940 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of bulk flour also rose 1.08 percent or Rp110 to Rp10,340 per kg; meanwhile, non-mass wheat flour fell 0.53 percent or Rp70 to Rp13,170 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level rose 4.37 percent or Rp260 to Rp6,210 per kg; while the price of fine salt with sodium fell 1.57 or Rp180 to Rp11,320 per kg.

Next, the price of kembung fish fell 1.24 percent or Rp460 to Rp36,570 per kg; while tuna fish rose 4.71 percent or Rp1,500 to Rp33,360 per kg; then milkfish were observed to fall 1.45 percent or Rp480 to Rp32,510 per kg.
