Toyota Group Successfully Sells 900 Thousand Vehicle Units In July 2024, Asia Is Still The Largest Market
Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) reported global sales data in the July 2024 period covering various brands under the auspices of companies such as Toyota, Lexus, Daihatsu, and Hino.
Launching from data from TMC, Friday, August 30, in total the company booked sales of 924,918 units in July 2024, an increase of 0.7 percent in the same period last year. Of these, 186,112 units were produced in Japan and 738,806 units came from outside Japan.
Toyota and Lexus branded vehicles contributed 857,982 units (down 0.2 percent) in their global sales this month with 717,629 units of which generated outside Japan and 140,353 units for their own home market.
Meanwhile, Daihatsu-branded vehicles contributed sales globally with a total of 56,055 units (up 17.8 percent). Of these, 42,112 units of them from sales in Japan and 12,943 units came from abroad.
The heavy vehicle brand Hino also contributed by successfully selling 10,881 vehicles (down 3.5 percent) with 3,647 units of them from the country's sunrise market and 7,234 other units from outside Japan.

The Asian region (outside of Japan) is still the largest market explored by a number of TMC brands by producing sales of up to 269,259 units (down 0.3 percent) with China getting the most results totaling 143,435 units.
North America is the second largest market for this Sakura country company by obtaining 213,711 units (down 4.7 percent) with the United States (US) controlling this region with 181,894 units.
Japan completed its third position as the top sales contributor with a total of 140,353 units last July or a decrease of 0.6 percent.
Toyota's sales of electrified vehicles reached 381,082 units (up 23.4 percent) with 78,428 units of which were obtained in Japan and 302,654 units outside Japan.
Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) was still the best-selling globally last month by obtaining 349,446 units (up 22.5 percent), Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) with 11,452 units (down 5.9 percent), and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) with a total of 11,359 units (up 53.2 percent).
