Preventing The Spread Of Mpox, The Ministry Of Transportation Requires International Route Passengers To Use The One-Healthy Application

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) again requires the use of the One Healthy Application for international travelers. The requirement also follows up on the Letter of the Minister of Health regarding the Implementation of One Healthy Health Pass.

This step was taken after the determination of Mpox disease, or monkeypox, as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern) by the World Health Organization (WHO) on August 14.

Director General of Civil Aviation, M. Kristi Endah Murni, said the Ministry of Transportation, through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, had determined the Circular Letter of the Director General of Air Transportation Number SE 5 DJPU in 2024 to strengthen this preventive measure.

Kristi said the use of the One Healthy Health Pass for foreign travelers will take effect from August 27, 2024.

"Foreign travelers who fly to Indonesia to fill out an electronic self-declaration form named Satu Sehat Health Pass, as well as guidance for International Airport Organizers to take steps to prevent and deal with Mpox disease transmission at airports," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 28.

In order to prevent the transmission of the Mpox disease in Indonesia, Kristi admitted that he had communicated with air transportation business entities or airlines that served flights from and abroad in Indonesia.

Kristi said the aviation company was asked to socialize and inform aviation personnel and passengers of overseas travelers flying to Indonesia to fill out the One Healthy Health Pass electronic self-declaration form.

"Filling the electronic self-declaration form One Healthy Health Pass for everyone (flight personnel and passengers) for overseas travelers, is carried out at the departure airport," he said.

Aviation actors are also asked to coordinate with the health quarantine headquarters if there are problems in filling out the One Healthy Health Pass electronic self-declaration form at the arrival airport.

"Coordinate with the Center for Health Quarantine in the context of efforts to prevent the transmission of Mpox disease in Indonesia," he said.

Airport management in Indonesia is also asked to coordinate with the Center for Health Quarantine in the context of efforts to prevent the transmission of Mpox disease at the airport. This coordination is also for the needs of handling passengers suspected of contracting Mpox disease before entering the door of international arrivals.

"I have ordered the Director of Aviation Security and the Head of the Airport Authority Office to supervise the implementation of Circular. All parties must be able to carry out with full responsibility," said Kristi.

For your information, the SatuSehat application used to be a digital-based information service PeduliLindung application that changed its version on March 1, 2023. The application used to provide information about COVID-19 and keep a history of vaccinations.
