Bank Mandiri Maintains A Dividend Ratio Of 60 Percent From Profit 2024

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) is committed to maintaining dividend distribution for the 2024 financial year to its shareholders with a payout ratio of 60 percent of net profit.

"Over the last five years, Bank Mandiri has distributed good dividends where we have consistently paid 60 percent of the dividend payout ratio and of course in the future we want to maintain that level," said Finance Director Sigit Prastowo in a virtual press conference, Tuesday, August 27.

Even so, Sigit said management will also pay attention to the optimal level of capital. So that it can encourage and support sustainable long-term business growth.

"At the same time, this is also part of the direction of the policy of the Ministry of SOEs which wants to ensure that Bank Mandiri can support healthy and aggressive credit growth but still with good capital adequacy," he said.

This year, Sigit explained that the company has distributed dividends from the 2023 financial year of IDR 33 trillion to its shareholders. According to Sigit, this figure is very large.

"If we calculate the yield by 6.5 percent and in the future, of course, we will maintain the consistency of the performance of the Mandiri group to be able to continue to increase the value to all stakeholders," he explained.

"Especially for shareholders so that we can provide good dividends and of course a good share price increase," he continued.
