PLN Secures Electricity Supply For The 2nd IAF Event In Bali
PT PLN (Persero) ensures the readiness of electricity supply in supporting the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) event which will be held in Nusa Dua, Bali on 1-3 September 2024.
The forum is an event to strengthen cooperation, especially the economy between Indonesia and Africa.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo through his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 27, said that PLN has experience in supporting reliable electricity supply in various national and international events in Indonesia.
"This event will be attended by delegates from various African countries and will become the face of Indonesia in the eyes of the world. Therefore, PLN will support the success of organizing all events to run smoothly," Darmawan said, quoted from Antara.
Previously, PLN had succeeded in supporting various national and international activities both in Jakarta, Labuan Bajo to Bali and other cities.
In addition to ensuring infrastructure readiness, PLN has also prepared the best personnel to ensure electricity supply.
Meanwhile, General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) Bali's Main Distribution Unit (UID) I Gede Agung Sindu Putra said PLN continues to carry out preparatory and mitigation efforts.
"PLN has prepared four layers of electricity network security to support the implementation of the 2024 IAF, but this must also be supported by participation from the community to jointly protect PLN's electricity network from potential disturbances such as kites," said Sindu.
The four layers of security on the PLN system, namely the first layer of the main supply of the PLN network, the second layer of PLN's uninterruptible power supply (UPS), the third layer of generator supply, and the last generator from customers.

PLN also ensures that the primary energy for the generator is sufficient and safe.
"For this reason, we hope that during this international meeting period, namely 1-3 September 2024, people can take a break from playing kites," he said.
In order to ensure the smooth supply of electricity, PLN has also established close synergies with a number of stakeholders such as the Bali Police to the TNI, the transportation service, the PAMong Praja police, and the entire traditional village.
