Airin Rachmi Diany admitted that he was grateful that the Golkar Party finally officially promoted him as a candidate for governor of the 2024 Banten Pilkada. Previously, Golkar had supported the couple Andra Soni-Dimyati Natakusumah in the Banten gubernatorial election.Airin was announced to be advancing with the Chairman of the Banten PDIP DPD, Ade Sumardi by the General Chairperson of Golkar Bahlil Lahadalia at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Slipi, West Jakarta, this afternoon. The former Mayor of South Tangerang also expressed his gratitude to the PDIP chairman, Megawati, who has supported him to run with Ade Sumardi in the Banten Pilgub.
