BMW And Mini Announce Recalls Of More Than 26,000 Vehicle Units In Australia Due To This Problem
JAKARTA - Bad news came from BMW and Mini who had to make a recall or recall of more than 26,000 units in Australia.
Quoting from the Drive page, Tuesday, August 27, BMW and Mini recalled cars sold between 2022 and 2024, citing potential errors in the braking system.
Affected vehicles are stamped with the 2022 model until 2024. BMW Australia has confirmed that it is temporarily halting new vehicle deliveries while making software improvements developed.
"Due to production defects, interference can occur in the electronic brake system. If an error occurs, a higher pedal power may be needed for braking," reads a notification from the local Infrastructure Department.
The notice also states that vehicles remain controllable, but a decline in braking performance could increase the risk of accidents resulting in injuries to passengers, pedestrians and other road users.
"The driver will be warned by a brake warning light in the instrument cluster and a message will appear on the central screen," the notice reads.
