Gabba Introduces Himself To Music Lovers In Indonesia Through Single Pockets
JAKARTA - Multi-instrumentalist from the Philippines, Gabba is back with his latest single entitled 'Pockets'. This song is the first release since the release of the album 'Recollections' in July 2023.
The 'Pocket' was launched via the A Spur of the Moment Project, a record label that has overseen Gabba since his debut in 2020.
Through his latest work, Gabba also wants to introduce himself to more and more music lovers in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia.
Through Pockets, Gabba tries to reflect on how, in this fast-paced life, everyone seems to only focus on being busy and forgetting to enjoy the process.
"This song is a tribute to everything that has happened since my debut album was released," Gabba said in a statement, Tuesday, August 27.
The singer also revealed that her career skyrocketed as if she was on the train without stopping with all the events and experiences she faced, leading to the creation of Pockets.

This song is the way I look back at those moments, feel grateful, and realize the value of the 'pocket' of the excitement that accompanies it," Gabba said.
"As we continue to move, we tend to ignore small wins and focus on the next big thing. Repeated parts of synth at the beginning of the song are meant to symbolize something relentless, like someone running or a speeding train," he said.
The launch of the 'Pockets' has complemented Gabba's musical journey, which previously held an album tour, representing the Philippines on SXSW Sydney, featured on Music Day Out in Singapore, and performed on Wanderland 2024.
With Southeast Asian music market increasingly open, the work Gabba introduced is another alternative to music lovers in Indonesia.
