Floods Inundate Bone Bolango Regency, 698 Residents Forced To Evacuate
JAKARTA The intensity of moderate to heavy rainfall since early morning that hit almost all areas of Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province caused water discharge from residents' channels and several tributaries to overflow and caused 698 people affected by flooding on Monday. This flood caused seven villages spread across three sub-districts, namely Bone District, Bone Beach District and South Suwawa District in Bone Bolango Regency to be affected by this incident. Based on reports received by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) as many as 698 people were affected and displaced.

"For the time being, to relatives who were not affected by the flood, while damage to facilities and infrastructure is still being collected," said Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari, in his statement, Tuesday, August 27. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bone Bolango Regency continues to coordinate with the relevant agencies as well as the local sub-district and village governments to collect data on victims and affected infrastructure, the latest condition reported is still rain with light intensity to date.
