Megawati Regarding The Constitutional Court's Decision: Alhamdulillah, Judges Turns Out To Still Have Conscience
Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri is grateful that the judges of the Constitutional Court (MK) still have a conscience. This is proven by the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) Number 60 of 2024 regarding the requirements of regional head candidates.
This statement was conveyed by Megawati during a speech in the announcement of a candidate for regional head who was promoted by PDIP in the third wave at the PDIP DPP office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 26.
"Alhamdulillah, finally the Constitutional Court, the judges still have conscience and courage," said Megawati.
The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia admitted that he could not imagine if the law was played.
"Even though there is a hierarchy like that. You have to take care of what you can do, yes, that's the law in Indonesia," he said.
Megawati admitted that she had met with civil society groups, especially those engaged in the dynamics of the Constitutional Court's decision. Likewise with the courage of students to move.
"I still feel grateful that finally students seem to be collaborating with Javanese, what is the Indonesian language? Understand," said Megawati.
"Because I used to, at that time some were still meeting me, I was still calling, Ms.,'mam, I'm still remembering there to trisakti'. 'Hey, you're still remembering?' 'Well, yes, I was there to hear Ms's speech. So I mean, it's bad that I know the events of the time when Megawati wanted reform, "concluded Megawati.
