Minister Basuki Prepares Land For Construction Of Subsidized Houses In IKN

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono is preparing land in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, for the construction of subsidized houses.

Land prepared in the area of development of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), be it zones 1A, 1B and 1C, for residential projects and retail businesses.

"We have looked for, for example, a retail that is 500 meters, 1,000 meters, 200 meters. We have looked for the land, we will tell the developer later," said Basuki when met at his office, Friday, August 23.

Meanwhile, related to the housing of Low-Income Communities (MBR) aka subsidized houses, Basuki said, the land prepared may be in the 1B or 1C zone. Because, zone 1A is full.

"It's the same, right (for subsidized houses). If 1A has been crowded, maybe 1B or 1C, the land has been prepared," he said.

On the same occasion, the Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force at the Ministry of PUPR, Danis H Sumadilaga, said that the development of KIPP land zones 1B and 1C was ready to adjust incoming investments.

"Zona 1B and 1C are ready in line. Only yesterday what started like the Minister (Basuki Hadimuljono) said that there were a lot of activities in 1A first, now they have started to be fully diverted to 1B and 1C so that the road does not work at once," he said.

According to Danis, the PUPR Ministry has prepared general construction in these zones such as distribution of plots, asphalting roads and preparing urban design, including for residential areas.

"We already have the urban design. Here the mixed business, here the residential, here the green area," he added.
