MSMEs Contribut 60 Percent Of GDP RI, The Trade Minister Will Pay Special Attention To Be More Developed
JAKARTA - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan said micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) played a role as the foundation of the Indonesian economy. This is because the sector contributes 60 percent of Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP).
This was conveyed by the Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan while visiting the Lembang North Bandung Cattle Breeder Cooperative (KPSBU) in West Bandung Regency, West Java, on Thursday, August 22.
MSMEs such as Lembang KPSBU, contribute greatly as the foundation of the Indonesian economy. This is because 90 percent of Indonesia's workforce is absorbed in this sector. In addition, 60 percent of Indonesia's gross domestic product is also in this sector," he said in an official statement, Friday, August 23.
Therefore, the man who is familiarly called Zulhas said the government would pay special attention so that the economic driving sector could develop.
"The government will pay special attention so that this scale business can develop more," he said.
Zulhas also saw the production process of KPSBU Lembang. He said the production process has been supported by sophisticated equipment and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
These advantages, continued Zulhas, make milk cooperatives such as KPSBU Lembang have the ability that is not inferior to big companies. He also assessed that the potential for Lembang KPSBU will grow more and more optimally with the right support and development from the government.

KPSBU Lembang runs milk marketing services, slaughterhouses, convenience stalls specifically for members, Lembang souvenir centers, and livestock food factories. Lembang KPSBU also provides business support services for members such as interest capacity loan facilities, insemination made by dairy cows, to animal health support.
