Innovation Of PT PAL Indonesia, Real Contribution In Strengthening The Indonesian Navy's Alutsista
PT PAL Indonesia is proud of the success of the two Indonesian Navy warships, KRI Raden Eddy Martadinata - 331 (KRI REM-331) and KRI Banda Aceh 593, which are the work of this company. These two ships are clear evidence of PT PAL Indonesia's contribution in strengthening the Indonesian Navy's defense equipment.
PT PAL Indonesia CEO, Kaharuddin Djenod, stated that the success of KRI REM-331 and KRI Banda Aceh 593 shows the ability of Indonesia's defense industry to produce world quality products. "The presence of LPD and PKR in the ranks of the Indonesian Navy not only increases our military capability, but also strengthens Indonesia's position as a large maritime country. This ship is a real symbol of our commitment to maintaining security and making a positive contribution to peace," said Kaharuddin Djenod in a written statement received by VOI.
Citing the official Instagram account of the Ministry of Defense @kemhanri, KRI Raden Eddy Martadinata-331 (KRI REM-331) was successful in the Multilateral RIM of The Pacific 2024 Latma in Hawaii, USA, which took place from 27 June to 1 August 2024. Meanwhile, KRI Banda Aceh 593 succeeded in supporting the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence in the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan, and has now returned to Kolinlamil Pier, Jakarta.
KRI REM-331, made by PT PAL Indonesia, is designed with modern technology and is equipped with advanced weapons systems and sensors. The construction process involves technology transfer from Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding, the Netherlands, making it one of thermodern warships in Southeast Asia.
Another product of PT PAL Indonesia that plays an important role is KRI Banda Aceh 593, a Landing Platform Dock (LPD) ship that is also present in the 79th Indonesian Independence Day series in the capital city of the archipelago. This ship, as a result of technology transfers with strategic global partners from Korea, has great capacity to transport troops, combat vehicles, armored vehicles, and logistics.
KRI Banda Aceh-593 is also equipped with Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVP), Landing Craft Utility (LCU), and is capable of hosting up to five helicopters. With the ship's stable and international certification designs, this ship supports various missions, both military and humanitarian, with high efficiency.
