PT Pertamina Patra Niaga again shows its commitment to sustainability by obtaining International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) certification for Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) and Renewable Energy Directive-European Union (RED-EU).

This marks an important step in providing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in Southeast Asia, while strengthening its position as a pioneer in the aviation industry committed to reducing global carbon emissions.

Director of Central Marketing and Commerce of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Maya Kusmaya revealed that this achievement is proof of the company's dedication to supporting the transition to more environmentally friendly fuels.

"With this certification, Pertamina Patra Niaga is the first operator in Southeast Asia to market ISCC CORSIA certified SAF. This is a milestone in the regional energy industry, opening up opportunities for airlines in Indonesia and its surroundings to use significant fuel to reduce carbon footprint," Maya explained in a written statement, Thursday, August 22.

This certification was also given directly by the CEO of PT Quality Certificate Indonesia, Ryanza Prasetya to the Director of Central and Commercial Marketing of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Maya Kusmaya which was witnessed directly by the Director of Strategy, Portfolio, and Business Development of PT Pertamina (Persero), Salyadi Saputra on Monday (19/8) in Jakarta. The certificate was handed over at the Paving the Way to Net Zero: HVO & SAF event, with the theme Driving Change Through Renewable Fuels by Pertamina.

"With the ISCC certification for SAF products as well as products Used Cooking Oil (UCO) and HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) from Pertamina, customers can now claim to reduce carbon emissions resulting from the use of this fuel," he said.
