Etana Affirms Commitment In Provision Of Child And Adult Hepatitis Vaccines

JAKARTA - PT Etana Biotechnologies Indonesia (Etana), a biofarmasi company from Indonesia, affirms its commitment to providing hepatitis vaccines that are easily accessible to all people in all Indonesian health facilities, as an effort to help protect the Indonesian people from hepatitis.

"Currently we have marketed Hepatitis A vaccine products not only for children but also for adults. This is because the Hepatitis A incident with a high risk is more prone to happening at an adult age. Etana will also launch medicinal products for Hepatitis B, as an effort to support the Government to cope with Hepatitis B," said Director of Anti Infectious Business Unit M. Indra Lamora, in a written statement, Wednesday, August 21.

Indra said that currently Etana is innovating in the development of vaccine products. This is in line with Etana's goal of serving patients by providing high-quality, innovative, and affordable biopharmaceutical products and vaccines.

"Etana is also committed to providing halal vaccine products, so that there are no more doubts in the community to vaccinate," he explained.

Furthermore, Indra emphasized Etana's commitment to support the development of vaccines locally. This is a form of Etana's support for the government in realizing the health resilience system in the independence of drugs and domestic medical devices.

"Several vaccine products currently under development include the COVID-19 vaccine with mRNA, pneumococcal, HPV and tuberculosis platforms," he added.

In addition, in commemoration of World Hepatitis Day, Etana has collaborated with various parties to carry out educational and vaccination activities. One of the initiatives is to make RSP Syiah Kuala Aceh a vaccination service center in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar.
