MG Will Launch 2 New Models In Malaysia This Month, 5 GT Sedan And HS SUV

JAKARTA - MG will launch a new model to navigate Malaysia's automotive market, two models ready to launch on August 22 this year.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Wednesday, August 21, the two new models in question are MG5 GT and MG HS, which have also been launched in Indonesia. This certainty is contained in the images shared.

In specifications, the MG5 GT is a sedan that has a sporty design, the dimension is 4,675 mm long and 1,842 mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm, not much different from the Honda Civic FE (4,678 mm, 1,802 mm, WB 2,735 mm).

Regarding the heart of the runway, this fastback-style sedan is powered by a four-cylinder 1.5 liter natural aspirationed engine which produces 114 PS and 150 Nm torque at 4,500 rpm. The DVVT NA engine is combined with CVT with eight speeds.

Entering the cabin, the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital instruments, and are also equipped with various interesting features such as a keyless engine start, LED-wide lights.

Meanwhile, MG HS is an SUV that will compete with Mazda CX-5. In dimensions, this one car has a length of 4,574 mm and a width of 1,876 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,720 mm.

Talking about the engine, this one car is powered by a 1.5 liter turbo four engine that produces 162 PS power and a 250 Nm torque in rounds of 1,700 to 4,400 rpm. The dual-coupling transmission of seven accelerations sends the driver to the front wheels.
