BMKG Detects 91 Hot Spot Karhutla In Riau, Indragiri Hulu Most

PekanbarU - The Pekanbaru Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) detected 91 hotspots (hot spots) of forest and land fires (karhutla) in the Riau Province.

All the hot spots are spread across four regencies/cities. Forecaster on duty BMKG Pekanbaru, Gita Dewi said, the most hot spots are in Indragiri Hulu (Inhu) Regency with 68 points.

"In Kuantan Singingi Regency 21 points, Inhu 68 points, Rokan Hilir one point and Siak Regency one point," Gita said as quoted by ANTARA.

He explained that the visibility for the city of Pekanbaru and its surroundings ranged from 5 to 7 kilometers.

Meanwhile, the weather in Pekanbaru City and its surroundings is cloudy. Light rain with local intensity is predicted to occur in parts of Indragiri Hulu Regency, Pelalawan Regency, and Kuantan Singingi Regency.
